How many people each size serves
A party slice weighs about 80 to 100 grams. That gives roughly 10 to 12 slices from a 1 kg cake, 20 to 24 from a 2 kg cake and 50 to 60 from a 5 kg cake. If you like thick wedges, count on 8 to 10 slices per kilogram. Our guide on how much cake you need has the full table and tips for rich cakes and second desserts.
What changes the price of a cake
- Size. A bigger cake needs more sponge, filling and frosting, so the total goes up. The price per kilogram can go down, as the first table shows.
- Flavour. Every cake has its own price. For a 1 kg cake, Classic Vanilla Cake has the lowest price and Caramel Cake has the highest.
- Several flavours in one cake. With the Multi Flavored Cakes you pick two or three flavours for a single celebration cake.
- Special designs. Our Special Themed Cakes are made to your theme and charged per kilogram. You can also add an edible photo print to a cake. The price of each is on its page.
- Dietary needs. Both the Sugar Free Cakes and the Wheat Free Cakes have their own prices, which you can see in the table below.
- Delivery. If you choose delivery, we confirm the fee with you when you order. If you collect your cake, there is no delivery to pay for.

How to get the best value on your cake
- Match the size to your guest list. Use the serving guide above, so you do not pay for cake that goes home uneaten.
- Compare the price per kilogram, not only the total. The last column of the first table does the sums for you.
- Think about one larger cake instead of two small ones. Check the per kilogram column to see whether it saves money.
- Start with a classic flavour. The cakes at the top of the flavour table cost less than the ones at the bottom.
- Choose a half-kilo cake for a small group. Many of our cakes come in a 0.5 kg size, which suits a small table of guests.
